The green line is "passive," it does not participate in the recursive replacement. This is the second iteration but nothing has been replaced.
	Now we replaced the first green line with a red line, and left the rest green. The red line replicates up (in other words it scales but nothing else).
	Here we replaced the first line with a blue line. It replicates down and left to right (it scales and reflects across the horizontal axis).
	Now we replaced that same first line with a orange line. It replicates up but right to left (scales and reflects across the vertical axis).
	Finally we replaced the first line with a purple line. It scales and reflects over both vertical and horizontal axes.
